Reading, Writing and -- How do you spell that again?

3- to 6-year-olds learn about the solar system at a small Catholic homeschool co-op.  You see--we really do like science!

It's been a long time since I've written a blog post--so long that I'm not sure I remember how to!  But the recent kerfuffle over this article, which appeared in the Harvard magazine, has brought me out of retirement.  There's just so much to say.  Where to begin?

For starters, just to get my snarky side out of the way:  the university had to quietly take down their original post due to an embarrassing misspelling.  Tee hee!

I know I have a lot to say in response, but I'd love to hear unique views from you, dear readers.  Please comment!

  1. Hello. I just found your site and love it. I have one year old twin boys and I would like to start a Monetssori play group or co-op when they are a little older. the information here is very helpful. As for Harvard, I read that article and was so disgusted but not surprised. Parents are incapable uneducated second rate citizens and our kids' are in grave danger by being around us all day. It's laughable if it wasn't actually really scary that they are pushing this agenda.
